    Hi,
I have a problem with my H2. I use it for my product description but it seems that WooCommerce doesn’t recognize it as, whatever font size I choose, there is no impact on my description via the customizer.
I use Astra theme and the team, after investigated thoroughly, told me that “the issue is coming from WooCommerce. It is currently inherited so that the H2 won’t be affected by the settings.”
Can anyone help me to sort this out? I clarify that all other headings work perfectly.
Thank you very very much for your help, I am very worried and lost.
    Kind regards,
    Fanny

    Hi @npu2021,

Just to check, when you change to a default WordPress theme like Twenty Twenty-One, is the H2 displayed correctly?

    * You may want to do this on a test/staging site to avoid affecting customers on your live site. If you don’t have one already, your hosting company might offer one as part of your package. Alternatively, you can use a free plugin like https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-staging/

If possible, share with us the H2 (1) as added in your product description and (2) as it appears on the front-end.

    Thanks.

    Dear Abwaita,
Thank you very much for your reply, very quick in addition, this is very kind of you.
I changed for the Twenty Twenty One in my staging site, however the Headings do not appear in the customizer so I cannot act on this.
I can send you a screenshot of what you asked but I don’t know how to proceed as I don’t see any way of attaching a document. Can you let me know how I should proceed please?
My website is not published so far so I cannot send you a link as you will not be able to access. I’m stuck…
Thanks a lot for your help,

    Thanks for getting back.

I recommend https://snipboard.io for sharing screenshots. The site will have an explanation on how to share a screenshot. It works with Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.

Let us know if you run into any issues.

My goodness, I didn’t know this tool! Very helpful.
    Here is it: https://snipboard.io/R4ukOm.jpg
I changed the short description on purpose so that you can see: I typed the same sentence with the 6 headings: there is already a problem with H2 as it is displayed bigger than H1 whereas font is smaller. That means it does not correspond to the font 18 at all. When I try to make it smaller or bigger directly from the customizer, there is no impact visually. For all other Headings, there is, logically.
Concerning the text below the image (data tab product), it is H2 as well: same problem.
Let me know if something is unclear (I’m French, my English may not be correct).
Many many thanks for your help, dear Abwaita.

Thanks for the elaborative screenshot and explanation, captured the issue quite well.

Now, when you briefly switch to a default WordPress theme like Twenty Twenty-One, does the issue with the H2 display persist?

    Thread Starter npu2021

    (@npu2021)

Yes this is the first thing I’ve done when you asked me to do it beforehand. I changed for the Twenty Twenty One in my staging site, however the Headings do not appear in the customizer so I cannot act on this. And frankly my site was upside down with this theme…

    Thanks for getting back.

What I meant to ask is, does the H2 still have a display issue when the product page you’ve just set up is viewed from another theme (you can try Storefront)?

You can view the same product page when you’re using another theme and see if the H2 is still displayed erratically. A screenshot of the product page would also be helpful to us.

    Thanks.

Yes I understood what you said, however the result is what I wrote: the staging site is upside down (i tried with Ocean wp as well). I will try again, maybe there was a bug. I’ll come back in a minute. Thanks a lot!

It works now ?? Here is it: https://snipboard.io/fZqOoG.jpg
So it seems the system makes the proper difference between H1 and H2 as H2 is smaller than H1, even if the fonts do not correspond to reality as they are very big. And the twenty twenty-one theme does not allow to set up the headings in the customizer.
Then when I try to change the font of the description from the single product, it is impossible. Maybe because it is made with 6 fonts (H1 to H6)?
I hope you can help me with this.
Many thanks again, I appreciate a lot!

    Hi @npu2021,

Good to see that the headings are displayed with the correct sizes when you use a different theme. Twenty Twenty-One, unlike Astra, does not have the option of modifying the font sizes from the customizer. (You can modify them with CSS snippets if necessary for this test).

Then when I try to change the font of the description from the single product, it is impossible. Maybe because it is made with 6 fonts (H1 to H6)?

This is another area of interest. Are you able to see the Heading options when editing the product’s description as shown here: https://snipboard.io/hgzDUv.jpg?

    Thanks.

    Morning Abwaita!
Thank you for your feedback. Yes I can, here is the screenshot: https://snipboard.io/YUgVCt.jpg
Can you let me know if the problem comes from WooCommerce indeed and what I can do so that my H2 works?
    Thanks a lot!

    Hi @npu2021,

Given the tests done so far and the screenshots you’ve sent after testing using a different theme, the problem is not coming from WooCommerce. If it was, then it would be replicated on the other themes.

Therefore, you’d be best placed getting in touch with the Astra theme authors to give the issue another look on their end as it seems to only happen with their theme. Here’s their support forum: https://www.ads-software.com/support/theme/astra/

    Thanks and all the best.
