• Hi,

I’m having issues with embedding any type of video (I’ve tried .wmv, .flv, mp4 and .mov so far) into a post of my page. I’m running this on a Windows Home Server and everything else seems to be working fine. I can post images that I have stored on the server and I can embed YouTube videos, but cannot use any videos that I have stored locally. I keep getting the error: Video Not Found or Access is Denied. The directory the videos are stored in are the same as the test images I’ve been trying to use.

Any thoughts? I can’t figure out what I could be doing wrong.

    Thanks!

  • You can’t embed automatically embed videos from just anywhere. Only those from a list of specific providers.

So you can’t embed your own videos that you have saved in your media library using one of the video player plug-ins? All of the videos are stored on my server which is what I’m running the WordPress installation from.

I was hoping to use my own storage instead of uploading them to say Youtube and linking to there.

I’m running into the same problem of ‘Video not found or access is denied”
This makes no sense… I have not read of anyone else having this problem… Not being able to use videos stored in your directory…
Is there a solution that allows you to embed / link to videos stored in your own directory?
I have a video uploaded to my wp-content/videos directory. Pip3.mov
The absolute path is called out but it won’t play….

What is the solution! ?? Any help is greatly appreciated!
