Hi @greengremlin
It sounds like what is happening here is that the Jetpack is still connected to the sites in question, and the Monitor feature enabled (this is what will result in emails being sent out if the site appears to be down or unresponsive in a period of time). I can see that is the case for backpackingwithkids.com. Since that site is down I disconnected Jetpack from our end.
If the Jetpack connection is broken or connected to a different WordPress.com account, that may explain why you don’t see the site on your list of sites (on WordPress.com).
We can certainly help disconnect Jetpack for any other sites you are receiving Monitor emails about. In order to do that, could you please share the content of the Monitor emails you received with us? Specifically, we’re looking for the reference number that follows the text “If you need to contact support, please include this reference:” in the bottom of those emails.
If you want it to remain private, you can also contact us via this contact form. If you choose to reach out directly, please include a link to this thread.
Edited to add – apologies @keonnabarnes as I realize now that there were two people in this thread. Please do let us know the URL in question, feel free to send that information via the contact form as well and we’ll be happy to help.
@greengremlin ordinarily we’d suggest creating a new forum thread for separate requests but I’ve already followed up here. If you had any further questions please do start your own thread, as per the Forum Guidelines.
