Theme update: changes in template files

    Hi,

    For users with a BlueGray child theme:

    Sometimes you cannot avoid updating template files. This time I have updated files header and footer.

    File header: added code for new feature in Customizer (logo width). And added ID to several mobile menu elements.
    File footer: added code for new feature in Customizer (add content to footer).

    Those changes might have broken some of your customizations, I’m sorry for that. If you want help to fix it again please open a topic in support forum.

    Hi Guido!
    I have been using your great theme for many years on some pages..
    I can not do the last update, because it destroys my pages.
    Does this update also contain safety things, or are it only functions?
    Do I have to do it to get my pages healthy?
    Or can I just leave it on the current version?
    I have on both sides a child theme on which I adapted the header PHP something

    Hi,

    Unfortunately I had to make changes in file header, to make theme better. But there are no important changes regarding safety.

    It’s better to update this file in your child theme as well. I can help you with that.
    Which other files does you child theme contain, besides functions, style and header?

    Hi!
    I have it on several different pages. For some there are no problems and in some cases everything is broken when I make the up-date.
    I always have a child theme with style, header, footer and function.php – nothing else

    For one page, the Mobile Menu does not work anymore if I update

    Hi,

    Guess best thing is to make contact outside this forum.

    If you send me your header files, I can tell you which parts must be replaced or changed.

    Last couple of updates I’ve made these changes in file header:
    – added skip to content link
    – added variable for logo width
    – added ID to mobile menu elements (mobile menu uses regular JS instead of jQuery now)
