Users get redirected to homepage when trying to make a post ??

  • Ive just noticed that when I log in as a site author (not admin) When I click on the post button in dashboard I get redirected out of the dashboard and onto the homepage.

    This is not good news as my site has many authors who cant post at the moment.

  • Do you have a firewall plugin? Sometimes those redirect users to the home page if they detect an “unusual” request to the database.

    The first thing to test is always to deactivate all of your plugins to determine if one of them is causing it. The second test is to switch to the Default theme to see if your theme could be causing it. Believe it or not having something wrong with your theme can affect the admin.
