  • heh I’d say index 2 mainly because I’m not fond of that yellow you have in the first one.

I’m more partial to blue than yellow. Nice job!

I agree that the second one is a better design and fits inside an 800×600 resolution, whereas the first one doesn’t. However, I like the horizontal nav bar in the first one.

Also the second. But perhaps you should consider changing the link text color in the inactive tabs in the left menu ?? Gray on blue isn’t really well readable ??

In my opinion the second one no doubt.

    second. definitely.

Thanks for the comments. It seems that most prefer a white background.

I intend to add a nav bar but I want to use .php instead of Javascript like I have on the original page.

I also plan to tweak the color scheme (the box text in the sidebar is difficult to see) but I think I’ll stay with the blue theme.

    Thanks again…

awesome job on both. 2nd one though.

Too many boxes, lines and borders for my taste.

Typo is plain and mixes too many styles, colours and spacings. Less is often more to support readability.

second look nice & clean ??

Both are pretty cool. You need to get 1.5 so you don’t have to make two index files ?? You can make two themes and keep them completely separate from the main index file.

    Nice job.

Thanks for all your comments. The overall consensus was in favor of the newer design, so, the yellow has been archived and the new design is in place.

Now if I can just find the courage to upgrade!
