Hello, I have today updated the woocommerce plugin. After that appeared a message in the backend: The WooCommerce admin plugin is activated, but it is not used.

I don’t really know where the error is now.I am happy about every tip. Thanks.

  • Hi @kateeba,

Could you please navigate to Plugins > All Plugins and check if you have the WooCommerce Admin plugin installed?

If you do, the notice is referring to that plugin and you can deactivate it if you don’t have a need for it.

If you need further assistance on this, please share a screenshot of the notice and your site’s System Status report to help us understand your setup and help further.

You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, you can paste it here.

    Cheers!

    Hi @kateeba,

I just confirmed why you’re seeing the notice.

It’s because WooCommerce Admin is bundled with WooCommerce ever since 4.0, but the plugin is also available separately so you can update the Admin part of WooCommerce for new reporting features even if you aren’t quite yet ready to upgrade the latest release of WooCommerce.

This notice was added to let you know that the plugin isn’t being used. When WooCommerce is fully updated and activated, you can safely deactivate the WooCommerce Admin plugin without losing the latest reporting features.

    I hope this helps!
