• Hello all.

I have recently started having a problem with CF7. When using a cache plugin (any), it causes the form to work only after the second time. The first time the message [response] appears correctly and that for about 1 sec. the form empties and did not work. The second time I fill out the form everything works.

After that it appears in the URL:
    #wpcf7-f8810-p291-o1

    URL example:
    example-domain.com/contact/#wpcf7-f8810-p291-o1

Yesterday I contacted one of the cache manufacturers. They then looked in wp-config.php to see if the code:

    define( ‘WP_CACHE’, true );

is present. It was. The problem is not with a cache plugin, but with CF7 itself. he told me.

    So the problem should be
‘WP_CACHE’, true and CF7 are located.

I only mention the website to the CF7 support team.

    Hope it is understandable.

  • is it possible to see the site in question? I am currently using wp super cache but do not have this issue.

the solution could also lie in some configuration of that plugin, but since when you activate it and wpcf7 doesn’t work and when you deactivate it does… well, you can draw your own conclusions about the cause! ??

    Hello Erik.

Unfortunately I don’t want to post this in the public area.

Had the following plugins in use:

    • Autoptimize
    • WP Fastest Cache
(Was unfortunately not compatible with my current theme, was my favorite plugin)
    • WP Rocket (My current one)

All were or are on the latest versions.

The version of CF7 is 5.4.1

*** What the current plugin manufacturer did: ***

    • I deactivated WP Rocket, so it doesn’t cache or optimize any page.
    • I changed the value of the WP_CACHE constant to true in the wp-config.php file. This is a WordPress constant that lets WordPress know a caching plugin is used.
    • I then used the form, which still had the issue despite WP Rocket being inactive.

The issue isn’t caused by WP Rocket, since that’s disabled.
It is caused by how Contact Form 7 changes the way it behaves when the WP_CACHE is set to true. You are going to face the same issue with any caching plugin.

*** was all that was said ***

    EDIT:
    oh by the way:

Have also already deleted CF7 and completely reinstalled again. Has everything brought nothing.

    https://docs.wp-rocket.me/article/1495-contact-form-7-is-not-working

But since it’s a paid plugin I can’t test it and in addition you must ask to plugin authors.
