Where is the Appearance Editor subpanel?

  • Hi,

    The codex says I can edit themese using the Appearance Editor subpanel, but I don’t seem to have that–all I have under Appearance is Themes, Widgets, and Custom Header. So how can I get to the theme files to edit them?

  • Is this a wordpress.com site? If so, you can’t edit the theme template files.

    No, it’s not.

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?
