Multi step checkout not allowing guest checkout

    Hi!

    I’m using the multi step checkout on OceanWP and it has stopped allowing guest checkouts some time this month.
    I still have the relevant options checked in WooCommerce settings.

    After the “I don’t have an account” button is used to get to the billing address step, even when all required fields are filled in, when you click “next” the message “Some required fields are empty. Please fill the required fields to go to the next step.” comes up.
    I found that checking the “create an account?” box and adding a password allows you to proceed.

    So it seems like the form has started counting the hidden password field as a required field.

    I’m posting here as the only reference to this issue I can find is an old thread that just concluded that it was their theme causing the issue.

    Any idea how to get round this?

    Please share the page URL where you facing the issue.
    Try to update the theme and plugin to the latest version and check.

    Would you be so kind and go to Elementor > System Info and share the report with us so that we can take a look.?

    Thank you for your reply! I couldn’t reply until now because I updated a different plugin and it caused my website to go down so I’ve been restoring a backup.

    Thank you for looking into this!

    The steps to replicate it are:
    1) Add anything to the cart
    2) In the cart click “proceed to checkout”
    3) Click “I don’t have an account”
    4) Put anything in the required fields (email box requires valid email format)
    5) Click “next”

    A red box comes up with the message “Some required fields are empty. Please fill the required fields to go to the next step.”

    As far as I can tell, this only happens via the “I don’t have an account” button. A customer reported it to me and I couldn’t replicate the problem until I used an incognito window because I was logged into WordPress so it automatically bypassed the login page for me.

    Please go to Theme Panel > SCripts & styles, disable all the files click on the save button, now enable all the files, and click on the save button a couple of times, clear the entire server/browser/site cache and check.

    Thank you for the suggestions, I will try them now!
    I temporarily disabled the option to create an account at the checkout to remove the hidden “create an account?” password field that was causing the issue, as I was losing sales. I will turn it back on while I investigate it.

    I will disable the create an account option again for now, but if you need it switched back on again to investigate it, please let me know. I appreciate your help!
