Cannot change product type from Simple subsciption to Variable

    I have a Product A and I want to change it’s product type from Simple subscription to Variable subscirpion. But all the other choices (Simple product, Variable subscription etc) cannot be clicked and I get the message:

    “The product type can not be changed because this product is associated with subscriptions.”

    Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
