User as Contributor – Not able to access Dashboard

    Dear Members,

    I assigned one user as ‘Contributor’ but not able to access the WordPress dashboard when the Ultimate Member plugin is enabled but when I disable the plugin the user can access the “Contributor” role.

    Here is the screenshot when the contributor (user) login

    I’m giving access to other people to write posts on my website but due to this issue not able to do the same.
    Kindly guide me on the above issue.

    Hi @taxplusedutuber

    Did you allow the Contributor role to access the WP Admin in the User Role settings?

    You can check that settings in the WP Admin > Ultimate Member > User Roles > Edit a Role > see “Administrative Permissions”.

    Thanks, @champsupertramp now user can access it but when user as a contributor is not able to write post or view his/her profile. In contributor profile there is access to write and edit posts.

    What’s that screen that prompts when you try to create a post? Are you able to disable that and see if the user can create a post?

    No, the user can’t create any post. When user as a contributor wants to write the post the attempt recovery issue is appearing I think there is a contradiction between the plugin and WordPress or some setting issue.

    Kindly guide me on the above issue.

    Hi,

    This may be because of a plugin/theme conflict. Can you do a conflict test and see if the issue goes away? This doc explains how to do a conflict test if you are not sure: How to do a plugin/theme conflict test?
