when running ‘site health’, i got follow message…

`Jetpack has detected an error syncing your site.

Error Jetpack has detected that data is not properly in sync which may be impacting some of your site’s functionality. Click here to start a full sync to align Jetpack with your site data. If you still notice this error after running a full sync, please contact support for additional assistance.

    .

i clicked on the ‘full sync’ link but nothing happened. i have recently deleted the ‘admin’ username which was initially the account linked to jetpack and replaced it with ‘jogabot’ user. what steps can i take to fix? thanks!

    Hi @sacdawg,

Thanks for reporting this, and sorry for the trouble!

I start with the good news: Jetpack is well connected and working fine at the moment, and your new account at jpgabot is connected as well as expected.

Now, on the less-good news (but nothing too bad!): while debugging the site, I saw 250,019 posts currently on the cache site. I scheduled a fix for this, so hopefully that should be sorted out in the next couple of hours – a day at max.

In the meantime, I recommend installing a cache plugin that can help the functionality of your site. WP Super Cache is a free and low-maintenance cache plugin that’s 100% compatible with Jetpack:

Give it a try and let me know how it goes ??

The sync job you have started about 15 hours ago is still in progress: we need to wait up to 72 hours to see the job completed, given the size of your site. Please check back in 12/24 hours and let me know what the system tells you about that.

    Look forward to your reply!

hi stef, thanks for info/advice. site is running normally now….bluehost has a built in cache plugin ‘endurance cache’ which i had started uisng. should i replace that with supercache? would having multiple cache plugins affect site?

also i forgot to mention that when i deleted the ‘admin’ jetpack-linked username and replaced with ‘jogabot’, i had selected ‘re-assign all tabs to the other wp/jetpack account ‘jogabot’. in the process of re-assgning, the website froze. when i logged back in, i saw that all the ‘post author’ had been re-assigned (as the admin account showed ‘o’.

howoever, i forgot to check how many total posts i had before the ‘re-assigning. i suspect that the number is less. is it possible that the re-assignment overwhelmed the system and erased some without transferring first? thanks!

Multiple cache plugins could conflict with one another, so I’d generally recommend only using one.

Regarding the reassignment of posts/pages, that’s a feature of WordPress itself rather than Jetpack, so not something we’d be able to advise on. I’d suggest starting a new thread in the general WordPress forums for help with that:
