Excellent plug-in, but not simple

Ad Inserter (and the Pro version) is one of the most full-featured plugins I have ever used. Pretty much every setting you would want for inserting ads and messages into various places on your site is included. I use it to post calls to action and other notices and announcements on our site, and find it both reliable and extremely customizable.

And therein lies the challenge. All those settings and customizations have to go somewhere, and even though the author has made EXTREMELY good use of screen space, you may still find yourself staring at the settings screen and wondering where to start.

A saving grace: every button, check box, and option have hover help included. So, you can at least begin to grasp what you are doing.

But to really get all the value out of the plugin, you NEED to pay use the documentation. (Which is extensive.) I was able to do pretty much all my customizations by patiently reading the docs and then implementing.

And, if you get stuck, the support is excellent. Most of my questions have been answered in under a day, or even within the hour.

If I was running a site with ads, there is not another plugin I would use; this would be my first and only choice. And, even without ads, this is a great plugin for inserting text, calls to action, and other items into your site.

Highly, highly recommended. But be ready to spend serious time learning a serious tool.
