• Hello all,

Yesterday I made a strange discovery:

Every time I want to delete a page, a post, or whatever, I am redirected to the start page. This is, of course, quite ineffective because I have to navigate back to this place every time.

At first I thought it was because of “Yoast Duplicate Post”, contacted support there and found that it had nothing to do with it.

I deactivated all plugins and all themes as a test, but the problem still occurs. I conclude that it must be a WordPress problem.

Do you know anything about this?

    Kind regards,
    Manuel

  • Every time I want to delete a page, a post, or whatever, I am redirected to the start page.

What are you calling the “start page” here? Your site’s public homepage, or the admin dashboard start page?

This is, of course, quite ineffective because I have to navigate back to this place every time.

I just deleted both posts and pages on a fresh demo WordPress site, and in both instances, I remained on the same POSTS/PAGES screen after a quick reload. I was never redirected anywhere, not even after going to Trash to clear the trash.

So this doesn’t appear to a default WordPress behaviour, but something in your environment that is causing this. Unfortunately, I have no remedy for you.
