    Hi,
I seem to having lot so findexing errors, including on my homepage.
The URL Inspection says the URL is marked ‘noindex’, and that ‘noindex’ detected in ‘robots’ meta tag – but I have no idea why.
The Yoast settings, and other visibility settings all seem to be as they should be – and I can’t find advice on how to remove the noindex metatag – to make my homepage visible to Google.
    Many thanks.

Where? I see no “noindex” on your home page. In fact, the header contains <meta name='robots' content='index, follow, max-image-preview:large, max-snippet:-1, max-video-preview:-1' />

Thanks for looking into this. I’ve tired various things out – so something might have worked, but when I type site:www.mayhemmusicals.org into Google, the homepage still doesn’t show up? And in Google Console, under URL INspection / Coverage / INdexing allowed? It still says “No: noindex detected in robots metatags”

I don’t know whether Google just needs longer to straighten itself out, but some of the other pages I’ve individually indexed are now showing, but still not the homepage, although I did that one first…

Thanks again for your help – I’m a bit of a novice, as may be obvious!

Try asking in the Google support groups. I don’t see anything on your WP site.

    OK – will do.
When I try site:www.mayhemmusicals.org on Bing, the results are even worse – only two pages show up – so not sure the problem is exclusively with Google.
    Cheers.

    Hi,
This all seems to be working now – having straightened it out – I think it was then just a question of waiting a week for Google to find it etc.
Thanks for your help – and reassuring me that it was index-ready!
