Is this no longer available? Or is this plugin glitching again… I’ve been having a lot of issues with this plugin lately? Is it part of some kind of rewriting of the plugin or something along those lines or what is up with all these image based bugs as of late.

    Hi @shinymewy,

Are you referring to individual episode images or just placing images in the episode description when publishing an episode? If you could be a little more specific, I would be happy to help further.

    Thanks!

I’m talking pictures in the description of the episode… Basically the place where you can tell the user what happened in the episode… Older versions allowed pictures in there in case you wanted to show a map for an RPG podcast or show off some fan art.

Unrelated though I noticed that pictures for the actual feed isn’t working anymore when they once did.

    Hi @shinymewy,

You should be able to place images in the description of the episode as the plugin supports the full editor for your episodes. Are you not seeing the Image Gutenberg block when publishing episodes?

With that said, those pictures are not displayed in the RSS feed as part of the episode descriptions as images are ignored. Now, if you upload an Episode Image for each episode, those will show in the RSS feed for the episode but keep in mind those will need to be square and should be at least 300x300px in size to display correctly in the HTML5 Castos Player. If you don’t have an episode image set, your RSS Feed would pull the featured image set for the episode post and display that.

Seems my cover images for podcast feeds are ignored if they aren’t between 1400x1400px and 3000x3000px in size.

I don’t see any reason why you’d be doing such or restricting people’s ability to use smaller images if they want to. It actually kinda restricts people from using your platform.

@shinymewy Podcast cover images are required to be a square between 1400x1400px and 3000x3000px in order for the RSS feed to validate as a Podcast RSS feed. Virtually all listener platforms will reject a feed submission if this requirement is not met for podcast cover images. In recent updates, we did add image size requirements/verifications for podcast cover images so that users are aware of this requirement and were unlikely to have their feeds rejected or invalidated due to artwork.

I’m sorry that this requirement caused some trouble on your end.
