Product Feed Does Not Refreshing
-
Hi there,
I have created a feed using your plugin; however, it looks like the feed does not refresh despite I change the field mapping or category mapping.
For example
this is a screenshot of the categories mapped in the plugin: https://paste.pics/b382c9e0225a3e01377b33aa9348ee2d
The category 505300 does not appear in the feed: https://paste.pics/c6a958093b9921bf9994e82a6e1b1a36
The feed is set to refresh twice a day and I have done a manual refresh as well (a couple of times now within the last 7 days)
Is there anything I can do?

Hi,
Thanks for using our plugin and reaching out to us.
Would you be so kind as to send us the plugin debug.log URL so we can have a look at your feed configuration and if it updates properly?
This is how you can retrieve the debug.log URL:
https://adtribes.io/send-your-debug-log-to-support/Thanks for this, I had a look and your feed seems to be updating just fine (it at least did once today).
Do the products that sit in category 505300 happen to sit in multiple categories? So do they have more categories selected in WooCommerce, such as the main category?
Ok, good to know!
So I guess it is a different problem then.
Let me give you some examples as I am not sure what’s wrong now.
We have this product in stock: https://paste.pics/749292bd55edd435151ae4d893b58967
However the feed shows it as out of stock: https://paste.pics/598f2bbb7c0e7c5a12053f910f7d7a63
This is how availability is set in the feed: https://paste.pics/4ce678afb9aca331e352dd277cf84ea3
In addition the product category for this product is “Fuses and Holders”, which in the category mapping is set with category number 275: https://paste.pics/fb35ae66439c558faca098eefcdc7d03
But in the feed is set as 503739
I hope this helps.
Let me know if you need anything else

`So this probably means you have probably added the above product to multiple categories on your product edit page (like the main and subcategory). Our plugin will and can use only one category for its mapping obviously and most likely it picked the other one than you expected.
With regards to your availability question: you are showing a variable product in your screenshot and one of its variations in your product feed screenshot. So changes are big that one or more of the variations have no stock or are set to “out of stock”.

What I meant is that the product category as inserted in the field mapping is not pulling through.

Not sure what you mean by that. Yes, we have variables, but they are all in-stock.
Sorry, can you clarify?
What I meant is that the product category as inserted in the field mapping is not pulling through.
Yes that I understand ?? What I am trying to explain is that you have probably checked multiple categories for products. So something like this: https://www.dropbox.com/s/f21e5nbzfc29egq/multiple-categories.png?dl=0
As you can see in the example above a product is part of 3 categories. The category mapping of our plugin can put only 1 mapping in the feed and not all three. So that is why you are seeing it in category ID 275 and not in category ID 503739. Hope this makes sense? With regards to your availability issue. For variable products you can set stock management for the variable product however also for all its variations. See this:
Variable product: https://www.dropbox.com/s/cw8m4z3w3w0oryd/stock-status-1.png?dl=0
One of the variable products variations: https://www.dropbox.com/s/wnltdc9cxsjzc6s/stock-status-2.png?dl=0
So how do those two screens look to you with regards to their stock status?Re: category mapping
It makes sense what you say; however, I confirm there is only one category selected: https://paste.pics/43fe7d017606b09a2d51a3a27752399c
Re: availability. This is how we handle the stock: https://paste.pics/e4882cebbf98b4b80120a2bb8a726b30
and this is how it appears in the variations

Let me give you a better example of a product that is at risk of disapproval in the Merchant Centre.
I’ll only focus on availability as it is the current issue in the Merchant Centre.

Hi,
We have replicated the settings for a variable product on one of our test websites.
Variable product setting:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/6yndz0r89hx2g32/stock-1.png?dl=0Variation settings:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/e2b2rn62h9tmp30/stock-2.png?dl=0Field mapping(s):
https://www.dropbox.com/s/sovi7ppe3jtizd4/stock-3.png?dl=0
https://www.dropbox.com/s/25b5jdzt8g3pif1/stock-4.png?dl=0 (just to check the stock)Results to this in the feed:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/64xhw788cv6wali/stock-6.png?dl=0So for us all seems to be working as expected. Did you do anything else in your feed configuration/rules?
Exactly the same set-up.
I have also added a custom label 4 in the field mapping to pull stock level but it hasn’t updated at all.
https://paste.pics/09c57e3a93126fd54ac8cabc721bab10
I have created a new data feed for the purpose of giving it a go and see if the Custom label were pulling through and they do
My assumption is that the plug is working fine when a new feed is created, but it doesn’t get uploaded.
I am unsure of what to do
So either your feed is not updating at all or/and your feed is getting cached.
Are you using a 3th party caching plugin or doing some server-side caching? If so, make sure to flush all caching and make sure the feed URL gets excluded from caching.
Also, did you have a look in the WooCommerce fatal error logs of today/yesterday? Perhaps those are showing an error that could explain why this is happening.
This is the only fatal error I can see from the 3rd of June
https://paste.pics/b7211024663570c9c8198d33b6120123
I’ll ask the developer for the other bits
Here we go, asnwer from the developer:
The site uses Siteground’s own caching software as well as Memcached.
Let me know
Well the caching answer combined with the fact there are no errors in your fatal error logs makes me believe the feed itself is being cached by your software and or memcached. Make sure that caching is flushed and the feed URL is excluded from being cached.
