Another first blog

  • My very first blog, not much content on it just now as I’m not sure what to base it on at the moment and only been up a few days, intended to be a photoblog at first but changed my mind half way through.
    Basically I am hoping someone can cast a critical eye over it and tell me if it is a messy setup and what would improve it in the way of looks. As you will see there are still some of the original wordpress links still there. Thanks for looking.

    Ahem cough! cough! no-one want to comment on my page, just need to know if layout is looking ok or could do with some more tweaking, not much content on it just now as I want it looking half decent before adding blogs etc. https://www.frankchapman.co.uk

    As one WP newbie to another, it look really good. Congratulations. You have a bit of an issue with the header image. The top portion on the left seems to be missing and it rea-appears where the menu bar starts.

    Thanks for replying, could I ask what browser you are using please. I had a issue with the header when I switched the computer on this morning, it was like the menubar (same colour as bottom of header pic) became detached from the header image leaving a 2 pixelwide blue gap between. I tried to sort it by increasing the height a little of the header pic. I am wondering perhaps if the issue appeared as I was in the middle of re-uploading header and changing a couple of things…I hope thats the case anyway. LOL

    I think my Firefox (latest version) was having a hissy fir because the page wouldn’t refresh by pressing F% or using reload from the edit menu. Eventually it sorted itself out. IE 8 viewed it ok though.
    Hopefully problem is sorted now.

    IE 8 and it is looking fine today. It was the 2 px gap that I was looking at as well.
