I use Formidable forms on my website. AMP is not yet supported.

Is it possible to add a flag to the contact page so that page is not loaded as an amp page …

That way I can make all the other pages amp compliant and leave the contact page to load more slowly.

At the moment I cannot add AMP as the contact forms do not work. If I can get around this then I can implement AMP

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi there,

Have you tried using the AMP toggle to disable AMP for your contact page?

Thanks for the heads up I was looking for that but hadn’t found it. I will give that a go tonight.

Been looking to see how I can get my mobile pagespeed score up to to 90 on mobile. Its in the mid 90s for desktop but can only get it to low 60s for mobile – I was able to bump it up but deactivated AMP as the forms did not work. I also have a 3 posts with searchable tables that are used by researchers that I will also decativate.

    Will report back.

    Many thanks

Thanks – I’ve given it a try. I think there is some more work to be done on getting the PageSpeed mobile page bumped up to 90+ without AMP in place

Desktop is already in the mid 90+
Mobile was low 60s…. with AMP I’ve bumped the home page up to low 70s…

Will have to play more. Based on previous testing I thought AMP might give me the boost I needed … it has given some boost but not enough to get me in the 90 banding

Good to hear that AMP has given you a boost. You can use the plugin supression tool to test and compare your site with other plugins not running on your AMP URLs.

You can also be interested in doing some performance testing on the AMP cache version of your site, which may deliver further improvements.

Many thanks. AMP did give my mobile PageSpeed a bump up but not a sufficient bump up to get me from low 60s to 90+

I’ve now reverted to NOT using AMP on BajanThings.

More work is needed at my end to get the BajanThings mobile pages to load faster.

Part of the problem is one of Google giving with one hand and taking away with the other.

I can bump up the mobile PageSpeed score – but don’t really want to remove Google Analytics or Google AdSense just yet. Google Analytics and Google AdSense doesn’t impact desktop PageSpeed but it does trash my mobile PageSpeed scores.

Back to the drawing board. BajanThings is only a hobby site – this issue of mobile PageSpeed scores must be really hurting commercial sites.

I am still looking for the magic mobile solution ??

    Thanks

    PB
