footer, slider disappeared, CSS oddities

  • I have no idea how but a site that’s been using this theme for quite a few years – all of sudden has lost its footer, slider, and seemingly is also not responding to the customized CCS which has been in use for years – can someone explain why?

    I have rolled back to a previous version of the theme – but still, footer gone as well as the slider.

    If you have updated the theme after a long time then it may be caused due to cache.

    Or if you are using child theme, then you might need to check the codes in the child theme again because we have quite bit of changes done in the theme in this long duration.

    We update the site monthly – but have made no changes to the theme, we are using a child however even if I use the normal theme – we still do not have a footer or a home page slider.

    I have now rolled back and I can see the site in the customiser roughly how it should be but not as a visitor… caches have all been cleared and there are no issue there.

    So is your issue fixed? If not, please do reply back with your website URL with child theme activated so that we can find the reason causing it.
