    Hi @cybr
    I’m using your plugin.

By default it seems like the title of the homepage starts with site title and ends with titletag. Is it possible to set the site title at the end?

    Instead of:
Shopname – Lots of nice stuff

    I want it like this:
Lots of nice stuff – Shopname

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Now I found where to change the order and put site title at the end. SEO Settings page, additions, Site Title Location, right.

One doubt. When changing tagline they are locked. Do I need to enter customize, site identity?

    Hello!

You don’t have to tag me, I’m subscribed to these forums already, so I get notifications of all activity automatically ??

Yes, it’d best to change your site tagline and identity in Customizer. But, if you want more control over the homepage’s title, then I advise going to “SEO Settings > Homepage Settings,” under tabs General and Additions you can customize the title.

I recommend not touching the “Meta Title” input field because Google can (and will) ignore it and supplement another title in SERP. Changing the title order might also cause Google to ignore your custom titles.

    Hi Sybre.

OK, so changing the title order they way I did (SEO Settings page, additions, Site Title Location) isn’t recommended. I’s better to change in customizer. In customizer I can set site title and titletag but not changing the title order.

Just as you wrote it seems like Google ignored my change of title order in addition. Google still put site title first and titletag after.

This is a bit confusing. What would be the proper way to manage to get the site title at the end?

I would be very grateful if you can tell me the proper way to manage to get the site title at the end?

    Hi again!

I’m sorry to have left you confused and waiting.

The best way to change the order is like so:
Go to “SEO Settings > Homepage Settings > Additions”, and select ‘left’ or ‘right’ under “Meta Title Additions Location”.

I added extra details about how Google deals with these things as a disclaimer. I’m afraid there’s no right way to work around their restrictions/meddling.

    Hi Sybre.
On productpages I can choose to to remove site title and write the meta title just the way I want, and it will show just like that in Google.

On homepage I understand there is no such option to disable the site title and write a meta title the way I want. Changing the title order to show site title to right has the disavantage that Google still shows the site title to left which looks weird.

The problem with Google ignoring the title order has it to do with your plugin? Assume I wouldn’t use a SEO plugin, would I then be able to show site title to right and also have Google to show it that way?

No, Google might rewrite the title as it pleases. In other words, whatever plugin you use, Google will do whatever it wants regardless.

    Hi Sybre and Pierre.
If I wouldn’t use any SEO plugin at all, would I then be able to show the site title to right (that is right of the title tag)? My impression is that the default wordpress settings puts the site title on the left side (right in the beginning).

    Hello!

You can change the title order with The SEO Framework. This change is visible directly in the browser tab.

Google will notice you changed the title, but they can ignore your changes.

    Hi Sybre.
I know that I can change the title order with your plugin. However that wasn’t my question. the question was: If I wouldn’t use any SEO plugin at all, would I then be able to show the site title to right (that is right of the title tag)? My impression is that the default wordpress settings puts the site title on the left side (right in the beginning).

    Hi again!

No, you wouldn’t be able to show the site name to the right. This would require custom coding, and that’s where plugins come in.

Your impression is factual; however, some themes may change it still (but they shouldn’t).
