Cannot upload page after changing site URL

  • I have changed the Site URL through Setting on admin panel. Did not change the WordPress Address (URL) since the wordpress is installed on a subdirectory. Now I cannot update any page. I can go to the page, make changes but when I “Publish” the site shows a RED banner comes on top of the page and notes, “Updating failed. You are probably offline.”. How do I solve this issue?

    Wordpress is installed in a subdirectory
    The pointer of the domain is pointing to the subdirectory
    The directory where wordpress is installed has a sub-domain pointed to it and in the Setting on admin panel I have used this subdomain as WordPress Address (URL).
