• Hi and I need some urgent help with viewport stuck.
So far, I have no issues w EASY TOC on my WP website…

However, many users, over past months have complained of persistent bug.

This is noticed when they open any link sent to them, especially blog posts, on their mobile phone.
Some use iPhone, thus default is Safari Browser.
When they go the link, still no issues.
Then, they start scrolling down to browse and read.
They will reach the Easy TOC Table of Contents…
    Still no issues.
Then, sometimes they may click on a particular content/link on the Easy TOC (main post, not sidebar or widget).
The link will scroll them down to the specific anchor URL. Still no issues.
(Update: I noticed a small issue here. By default, I use offset function to account for the sticky header I have. I noticed that, when using mobile Safari, the offset is not seen to be in effect too, and this is linked to the problem of being stuck – read on below.)
    They continue reading…
    THEN, the PROBLEM ARISES…

They cannot scroll up or down!!. The viewport is basically just stuck permanently at wherever the Easy TOC link/href has brought them to. The issues is only resolved on F5/refresh entire webpage.
(Update: I noticed that after refresh, now the offset is in effect, and there is no further problem of being stuck. However, why does the initial PROBLEM of ?no offset + ?stuck on easy TOC anchor link occur??)

Pls help to resolve ASAP pls thanks!

I spent 20-30 mins trying to replicate this on your site and I was not able to. I have access to Safari on both my Mac and iPad. I also tried Edge on the Mac. No matter how much scrolling or TAC link I clicked was I able to get the viewport stuck.

Hi Steven, many thanks for your reply and help!

    Could you try this specifically?

Use handphone (my user was using iphone specifically), Safari Browser and go to this link:

Able to see or experience the issue?

I do not have an iPhone.. tried that page anyway on my iPad with Safari and my Android with Chrome. In both cases, the page worked fine after about ten minutes of testing on each.

Thanks once again Steven, for replying and trying that out.
Just a few minutes ago, I tried a few times on my iphone.

I managed to replicate the problem here:
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1RPFMRteRN2QQgyBc1xGMxN8HPvhEKkHR?usp=sharing

There are two videos. One shows the problem. The second one doesn’t.

The difference is that in the video without the problem, there are multiple safari browser tabs opened, as I had tried to re-create the problem. Somehow, the problem only appears when ALL safari browser tabs are closed (and perhaps cache, history and cookies all cleared). in other words, when the link is tapped upon, and there aren’t already any tabs opened that are of the website/webpage (i haven’t troubleshooted to pinpoint whether tabs opened of the same website affects this).

    Does this help?

Able to create the issue on your end?
