    Hi there,

We’re having a problem at https://www.blackgayblog.com with Google Auto ads suddenly not showing, possibly because of a JavaScript error.

But we’re also unable to run existing Google ad units and Auto ads simultaneously despite successful Site Kit set up and connection. Can you help?

Many thanks for considering my request.

Thanks for reaching out. While I do see some browser console errors these seem related to your Complianz plugin. I can’t be sure if any particular configuration you have any impact on ads being served. As I can see ads on the AMP version of your site please try and temporarily deactivate this plugin or check the configuration before search for ads once more.

If you want to share once you’ve done so we’d be happy to check your site once more. If we can determine a particular conflict we can check your configuration settings.

Thank you for your reply. I’ve temporarily deactivated the Complianz plugin as I still can’t work out why no ads show on the desktop site. Any thoughts?

Thanks for the update. When you mention you temporarily deactivated Complianz did ads appear, or does the Complianz plugin remain inactive at present? While I don’t see ads at present we can perform some additional troubleshooting steps. In order to do so please share your Site Health information here or privately via this form.

Complianz is still deactivated and may remain so permanently. No Desktop ads are showing. Site Health info submitted as requested.

    Many thanks.

Many thanks for providing the additional information, very useful indeed. From inspecting your site setup and your sites source code I can see your AdSense code snippet has some additional WP Rocket lazy loading related attributes.

Before we start to troubleshoot any particular single configuration can you temporarily deactivate WP Rocket before we check your site once more?

    That’s done.

Thanks for sharing. While the AdSense snippet as placed via Site Kit looks fine now I again see various console errors on your site, some referring to Complianz. As ads only appear on your AMP URLs there remains something blocking ads on your canonical site.

While you do have an additional Auto ads snippet place on your site this doesn’t impact ads reporting. Please next of all try to once again temporarily deactivate Complianz and I’ll check your site once more.

Alternatively you can check for ads appearing on your site yourself by following the below steps:

    1. Login to your site from a Chrome browser incognito window
    2. Install and activate the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin.
    3. Navigate to “Plugins > Health Check & Troubleshooting > Troubleshoot”.
    4. From the same screen click on the “Available Plugins” tab at the top right and then click on the “Enable” option next to “Site Kit by Google”
    5. View your site once more, whereby there will be a core theme temporarily active for you only, as a logged in user

You can exit troubleshooting mode afterwards.

Complianz disabled again. Have removed the additional auto ad snippet. Ads still not showing on desktop.

Many thanks for the update. I can see ads now appearing on your site, in particular on individual posts. I can also confirm a standard Site Kit placed AdSense snippet has been placed on your site without modification.

Before closing this support topic can you once again review your site and confirm you do see ads? Note that it’s AdSense logic that determine the positions and placement of ads, so please check a few URLs and confirm all is working.
