• Hello,

Today got such issue – trying to make new post – shows me such error – “You are currently editing the page that shows your latest posts.”, trying to install or uninstall plugin – “Installation failed: Unable to locate WordPress content directory (wp-content).”. Cannot even update theme. Also always see such info:

    Connection Information
To perform the requested action, WordPress needs to access your web server. Please enter your FTP credentials to proceed. If you do not remember your credentials, you should contact your web host.

After each row filled – “cannot access to database”…

    What can it be?

    Servers are on OVH.

  • wp-content is the directory where your plugins and themes can be found. FTP stands for file transfer protocol it allows you to transfer files from your pc to your website. The best course of action at this point is to check with your hosting to help set up WordPress if it not installed or to troubleshot permissions for your folders and file to make sure you do have access to them. If you need an FTP program there are lots of free ones you can download.
