I have been using a third party website to look at my SEO scores and today after updating SG Optimiser to the latest version, when I run my website through the SEO tool, I am getting the following warning: 137 PAGESWITH GZIP OR DEFLATE COMPRESSION DISABLED

This is not something that had previously popped up.
On checking the front end settings, I can see that gzip is set by default.

Have you had any other reports of this issue? Have you any suggestions?

    Hey there @kyarauk,

Could you provide a site URL?. Could you also provide the name of the test tool you are using?

GZIP compression is enabled by default on all of our servers and it shouldn’t be an issue. It is highly possible that it is a false-positive result.

We have also enabled Brotli compression on all our Site Tools servers and your site will automatically take advantage of it. You don’t have to do anything to get it!.

    Kind regards,
    Stoyan

Hey @stoyangeorgiev I am using Neil Patel’s SEO tool, Ubersuggest.

    Hey there @kyarauk,

We had a look at your website, it looks like it is all working as expected. You can check the content-encoding via the Network tab in the Inspector console. From there, click on the first file representing the page, click on headers, and search for content encoding. In your case, it is content-encoding: br, meaning that you are using the Brotli compression algorithm.

I guess the results you are getting are false positive.

    Kind regards,
    Stoyan
