more images in carousel slider?

I’d like to create an image carousel slider like the one in the docs at https://docs.cyberchimps.com/responsive-gutenberg-addons/image-slider, but when I create mine, I cannot get it to fix the height of the images and let them be a sensible proportional width, and also, there is a ton of white space between the images unless I make them quite large.

What exactly does the “Small Images” setting mean?

I want to show images with a height of 200px so I entered 200px and turned Small Images on. The slider only shows 2 images across the whole width of a desktop page. What do I need to do to make them squish side by side?
