variations custom ordering on product page

Hello,

I’ve tried the same on my test site which has the latest versions of WordPress, WooCommerce and default Storefront theme (no other plugins active), and I could not reproduce the same issue – I can drag and drop to reorder variations:

I see that you are currently using a variation gallery plugin. You may want to reach out to the plugin developer about how to rearrange the order of variations.

I’m able to drag and drop the variations in whichever order I want on product edit page, but on the front end of the product page it displays in the alphabetical order.

Thanks for getting back.

If you’re able to drag and drop the variations in the order you want them displayed but this order does not get effected on the front end, there are a few things you’ll want to do:

1. If you’re using a caching plugin, purge all cache and delete cache memory on your browser then check if the variations are shown in the desired order.

2. If the above does not resolve the issue, do the conflict test, i.e, deactivate all other plugins apart from WooCommerce and switch to a default WP theme, then check if the issue persists. If it doesn’t reactivate your theme and plugins one by one to find the one causing the issue. As my colleague highlighted earlier, you seem to be using some plugins that affect variations and they might be causing the issue, so just test to be sure.

3. If #1 and #2 above don’t solve the issue, could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.? Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

I’ve checked your System Status, and it looks okay for me.

As my colleague @abwaita already said, it seems to be caused by aggressive caching from your webhost.

I’d recommend contacting your hosting company and ask them to flush all the cache from the server and from your tie. In case that you are using a CDN, please flush the cache from there as well.
