How to stop autogenerated password?

Hello,
I’m wondering how I can change my password without WordPress automatically changing it to an auto-generated password?

So whats been happening is I will go to my “Profile page,” scroll down to “Account Management,” click on “Set New Password,” I will then type in the new password I want, then I will click on “Set New Password” again. The problem is, when I click “Set New Password,” the site will replace the password I just entered with a random autogenerated password.
Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated.
