How to limit status length in P2 theme?

  • I want to limit the number of posted characters when posting a “Status” with the P2 theme. I think that is a natural thing in order to differentiate it from the ordinary Post option.

    How can I do that?

  • Search the forum. There were some solutions in a couple of threads. I decided instead of limiting characters in the input box to make pull the excerpts instead of the the whole content. Then you can limit the excerpt size.
