I have followed the instructions here: https://yoast.com/all-in-one-seo-pack-migration/
I clicked the import button however when I checked I saw that none of the descriptions were copied.
I also installed the “SEO Data Transporter plugin”, chose AISEO and Yoast in the relevant settings and clicked migrate. I got a message saying that thousands of entries were updated. However, when I click edit on any article, Yoast shows the description field as empty. It appears that none of the descriptions are updated.
I rolled back all of these changes. Please let me know how I can make this migration

    Hello,

    Thanks for reaching out.

If we understand correctly, after the migration, you got the notification that thousands of entries were updated but you couldn’t find the respective data in their fields.

To troubleshoot further, please try the following steps:
    1. Install and activate the Yoast Test Helper plugin found here.
    2. Go to Tools → Yoast Test
    3. Click the Reset Indexables tables & migrations button.
    4. Go to SEO > Tools and click the SEO data optimization
    5. Once complete, re-check the AISEO migration data

Do let us know how it turns out.

Hi there, thank you for the quick reply.
When I clicked “Reset Indexables tables & migrations button, I got this error message:
“There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.”

The stack trace was sent to my email:

    Hello,

We are sorry about that error. Can you confirm that you have WordPress 5.7.2?

Also, please delete the Yoast Test Helper plugin via FTP and reinstall then retry the process.

    Thread Starter cemdilmegani

    (@cemdilmegani)

    WordPress version 5.7.2
Current plugin: Yoast Test Helper (version 1.14)
    PHP version 7.4.8

So I will delete “Yoast Test Helper” via FTP. What do you mean by retry the process? Shall I retry the 5 step process involving “Yoast Test Helper” again? Or shall I try via the “Yoast” plugin following the instructions here: https://yoast.com/all-in-one-seo-pack-migration/

    Thanks for the feedback.

Yes, please delete the plugin via FTP and reinstall it. Once reinstalled, then you can try the 5 steps provided earlier, not the AISEO migration.

    Hi @cemdilmegani

Were you able to access your website again? We apologize for any issues with the Yoast Test Helper plugin. Please do remove the Yoast Test Helper plugin, since it was causing issues with the reset of the indexables tables & migration data.

Upon checking, it looks like the data from AIOSEO isn’t being detected by the Yoast SEO plugin when using the import & export options, ever since v4.0 of AIOseo. Please do subscribe to the GitHub issue for any updates on this issue.
