HELP! CF7 only works with FireFox? (Hangs with Edge, Safari, Chrome)

    Please help!

    I try to use a simple contact form 7 with name, e-mail and some comment fields.

    This used to work for years.
    Today I detected, that today it only works using FireFox or IE as browser.
    When I use Safari/Edge/Chrome the form only shows the running circle when sending and does nothing. (Even with an empty form, where it is expected to show empty field errors)

    I immediately updated all plugins. No changes ??
    Then I deactivated all plugins but CF7. No changes ??

    I use
    – WordPress 5.7.2
    – Contact Form 7 5.4.1

    Ans suggestions?
    Any hints?
