    Hello,

I need to update my online shop because of new vat regulations.
I sell the tea and teaware to many Eu countries, almost all of them.
Those kinds of good are usually taxed differently.
For example in Germany tea is 7% and teaware 19%. In Austria all goods are 20%.

Does this plugin provide very detailed vat rate configuration for each country?
Do I need to update each product’s rate manually or can I switch “reduced rate” for whole category like “tea” and set regular rate for other goods? Of course for each country rates are different…

Pardon for very nooby approach but I am just trying to find good solution for my humble shop.

    Best wishes
    Wojtek

    Hi Wojtek,

The plugin does not contain data on what sorts of goods belong to what sorts of VAT classifications in different nations – that data changes too quickly, and the subtleties of classifying goods correctly in different nations are too much for us to want to take responsibility for (we would do a worse job than shop owners who know their own local situation). So, you need to keep an eye on your local VAT rates and make sure you know how to classify your goods, and update the WooCommerce tax tables when needed.
