I want to disable instant PayPal checkout buttons on product page. I’ve unchecked “Enable on Single Product ” option, but it’s still there ??
Huge problem for because it bypasses required fields that customer supposed to fill in…

  • Can you try to deactivate and then reactivate the WooCommerce PayPal Express checkout plugin to see if that helps?

If that doesn’t help, the next step I can suggest would be to remove the option named woocommerce_ppec_paypal_settings from the database and then go through setup again.

Thanks! I tried deactivating/activating but it didn’t help. For now I switched to old Paypal gateway plugin. I’ll try to remove database entry later, need to make sure I have all the keys first.

I reached out to PayPal and they provided solution (soft of). You have to disable PayPal button for “mini cart” instead of “single product”. I know it doesn’t make much sense but it worked!

@bratan Thanks for keeping us posted on the solution. We will mark this resolved now.

@intaction Please do try the solution above to get the issues resolved, if that doesn’t fix the issues, please open up a new thread.

    Thanks.

I tried deactivating/reactivating plugin that didn’t work. I don’t know what “remove from the database” is referring to. So the suggested solutions didn’t work for me.

I disabled the WooCommerce PayPal Checkout Payment Gateway plugin and went back to the WooCommerce PayPal Payments plugin which doesn’t have the issue.

    Hi @intaction

That’s really odd that deactivating the plugin didn’t work.

I disabled the WooCommerce PayPal Checkout Payment Gateway plugin and went back to the WooCommerce PayPal Payments plugin which doesn’t have the issue.

Glad that you decided to temporarily go with that workaround!

I think next time, you’ll want to check if caching plugins affect that, so you might want to try clear cache and also deactivate caching plugins.

Also, please create a new support thread if you have any other questions!
