We are trying to embed a webinar on our site using the shortcode:

    [zoom_join_via_browser meeting_id=”xxxXXXXxxxx” login_required=”no” help=”no” height=”700px” disable_countdown=”Yes” passcode=”yyyyyy” webinar=”yes”]

We did this successfully in January 2021, but when I set it up again for an upcoming event I get this error when I try to join:

    “Joining meeting timeout.
    Invalid parameter”

I am attempting to join from Mac OS 11.4 using both Chrome and Safari and I get the same error.

I can join the webinar using the invite link, both in my browser and in the zoom app.

I have seen from the support threads that there have been issues like this before. Anyone have any insights into solving this particular instance?

Or is the webinar embed just not working and I need to provide attendees with the direct link to open in the app or non-embedded browser?

    Hi there,

Is email parameter enabled in join via browser window screen for you ?

Thank you for the quick reply!

Yes, there is both a name and an email field for the log-in.

I decided to test the previous webinar (the one that we’d successfully used the embed code with in January 2021) and that one gets me to a different stage where it’s asking me to enter the tk from the login url, though my login url has a pwd string appended to it and not a tk string.

So, that’s a different issue, with the same result being that I can’t successfully access the webinar via the view in browser embed.

Well, it seems to have started working now.

So hopefully it works on the day of our event!
