menubar dropdown menu not overlapping grand flash gallery

Is there a way to modify the grand flash gallery wp mode so that it is display below the suckerfish drop down menu – I tried modifying the css for the navigation changing the z index but that didnt work, I searched and the solution seemed to change the wp mode of the swf file but I cannot find where to modify it thanks in advance for any suggestions .
