• This is my first time using wordpress, intending to use it as a CMS.

I have been trying to convert my existing webpages into wordpress for the pass few days but I can’t seem to do it. Could someone give me some tips on how should I start?

I’m intending to make it consists of only ‘pages’ with my own custom design.

  • Look first go through these steps managing your data to make it ready for wp

    1. Check how many pages do you have
    2. One Footer
    3. One Header
    4. One Sidebar (if its available)
    5. Check out that how many categories and pages link you have
(ie. Home – About – Products – Contact) here its like 4 tabs so you can have 4 categories or page..! right?
    6. Then make all this content copy paste like if uve got a about page create it in wp and then paste ur text to it… ok first make thin structure at wp then start themeing…

    Hey Bryan Poh,

I have created a template for my blog, https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Template_Hierarchy helped me alot.

First, you create html template, and replace the static code with wordpress codex.

    Good luck!
