    Hi,

When visiting the store from Israel, the credit card form defaults to the US, even though the store address is in Israel.

Can it be changed or fixed?

    Thanks

    Hi @asafm7,

The default country selection depends on the locale that PayPal selects to deliver the buttons.
If your system language is set to English (en-US), then the smart buttons will for example display an English label and also default to US in the credit card form.
I just tested this in your shop and when I change my system language to Hebrew, then Israel is the default selection instead.
We are looking at whether or not we could override the chosen locale because currently, PayPal decides which locale will be used to load the content.
Could you please give it a try with a different system language like Hebrew? Thanks!

    Kind regards,
    Niklas

    Thanks for your reply.

Do you mean the OS language? For some reason, I can’t Install Hebrew on my Windows.

I believe there are better indications for location than the OS language…

Can you keep me updated about the option to override it?

    Thanks again

    Hi @asafm7,

Yes, I do mean the OS language. It’s usually easier to change the language on an Android or iOS device compared to a Windows PC. That’s also how I tested this.
In any case, I linked this thread to our developer issue regarding the language override and will try to let you know when the is more information available.

    Kind regards,
    Niklas
