    Hi there ?? ,

Elementor’s recent changes has broken something in the Premium Grid Widget of my web. I’ve a video gallery with thumbnails that should display the “PrettyPhoto” light-box with a Facebook style, but now it only shows a black Elementor’s light-box, and doesn’t display video at all.

I’m in a localhost environment, so I can’t provide a link to this issue.

Could you help with this, please?

    Kind regards.

    Hi @albridi

Hope you’re doing well today ??

I’m not sure if I’m missing something, but the PrettyPhoto code we are using in Premium Media Grid is currently compatible with images only. It doesn’t show videos.

Our devs team already working on this, but it has not been released yet.

May I ask did you try to rollback your Elementor version? You can do that from your WP Dashboard -> Elementor -> Tools -> Version Control tab

    Regards

Hello, same problem here but with videos and elementor’s light box with the new version of premium addons – fallback to previous version is ok everything works,

    thanks

Hi there, thanks for supporting ?? .

I see, I have misunderstood something about PrettyPhoto lightbox.

Anyway, prior to the Elementor’s update, there was no Elementor lightbox controls displayed, and now there are a magnifying glass, a share arrow, etc. in the upper right corner. I could try to hide these with CSS, I think it shouldn’t be very difficult to do it.

But the big issue here is that “self hosted” videos aren’t displayed. If video stream comes from YouTube, there is a preloader showing a spinning circle and after that video starts. But with self hosted videos, the Elementor’s lightbox remains black with no video at all.

Rollback to previous version is not an option to me, because I need the web to be up to date for security reasons.

Hope you can detect what could be the problem here. Thanks again.

    Kind Regards.

Hello, again sorry I was not clear it was a problem for the premium addons team – ?m not with the latest version of elementor but you can rollback premium addons in extension page to previous version not elementor of course ??

    Thanks ?? !

I think I will wait a couple of days to see if there’s an update to fix this, and if not, then I will have to decide if rollback to previous version is an option to me, or I should move to another plugin instead. I hope not have to move, of course, I’m very happy with this gallery ?? .

    Hi @albridi @disconance

Hope everything is going fine with you today ??

Our team is currently working on this issue and a new version will be released within a couple of hours including a fix.

But, could you please confirm that the issue you have only happens with Self-hosted videos?

Hi there, glad to hear that you’re working on it ?? !

In my case self hosted videos doesn’t work. With YouTube videos it runs, but with the preloading spinning circle before displaying anything else.

    Kind regards.

Hey, it seems to be solved ?? !

Now I have the gallery as it was previously, thanks a lot!

One more question if possible: Do you know how to hide the player control for download video files? I can’t find a way to do it.

    Thanks again for supporting.

    Kind regards.

    Hi again ?? !

Another thing I would like to do, it’s to make the YouTube videos to be reproduced automatically and with de best quality (HD). I’m including “&autoplay=1&vq=hd1080” in the URL, but it doesn’t works.

Any ideas to make it run?

    Kind regards.

Hi, @leap13 please find the link but the website is protected by a password I prefer to send you by a private way please:

And the version 4.4.4 doesn’t solve the problem, same problem we can’t play video when we enable “elementor’s lightbox”. Your video shows what I have with 4.4.2 version – not with the last two updates.

@albridi I’m so sorry, but unfortunately, Elementor lightbox does not allow any parameters to be added. Whatever parameters we add to the video link, Elementor lightbox JS code drops any extra parameters and take only the video link.

@disconance We have tried to reproduce the issue on our end, so this requires to be checked by our devs team to check the code from your end. So, please send us a message on our website from here.

    Hi @leap13 , thanks for supporting ?? .

I see… but there’s an odd thing: If I set the mute switch of the video in the Premium Grid Widget parameters, the YouTube video runs in autoplay mode. Conversely, if I set it to reproduce the sound (un-muted), then the youtube autoplay doesn’t starts. Why?

I’m pretty sure that previosly to the Elementor’s update, YouTube videos was playing in autoplay mode as soon as launched from the gallery.

    Kind regards.
