Language switching problem

I just updated to Polylang 3.1 on WordPress 5.8. Ran into problems with switching to the second language. It fails to display the second lang pages and goes back to the main (first) language. Switching back to 3.0.6 solved the problem.

Had similar problem when updated from 2.9.x to 3.0 . No response was received fro m the developers on the problem. But it got sorted out with 3.0.6 – only to reappear with 3.1

Please test on a secondary site before updating on your primary site – I have now made a habit of it with Polylang. Changing language plugin is not an option since all the pages have to be made anew.
