    Hi

My merchants often add broken image links for the products in their datafeed.

    1. Is there an easy way to find these products.
    2. Is there a way to specify that broken images are replaced with the product placeholder image, not just empty images?

    Thanks
    Karen

  • Hello,

How did you add product images? By default, a placeholder image shows up automatically when there is no image added. So there shouldn’t be a broken product image link.

That said, could you share an example page URL with broken image link?

    Hi maykato

I use Datafeedr to import the merchant datafeed. In the image field the merchants input an image URL. The plugin imports the image to media. If the field is empty then yes the WooCommerce placeholder shows. This isn’t a broken image, it’s a missing image.

When the URL links to a 404 and no image is found at that address it shows a broken image. That’s what I mean by a broken image.

There are 3 products with broken images here: https://elatedvegansupplements.com/shop/?filter_brand=naturelo.

I’m going to replace them manually but wanted an easier way to find them than searching manually.

Hi, karenelated, I’m another WooCommerce user.

Are you using this plugin: Datafeedr WooCommerce Importer
https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/datafeedr-woocommerce-importer/ – to import the product data?

If so, you should probably create a new support topic in the plugin’s support threads for additional help. Even if that is not the right plugin, the same advice should still apply.

(On a side note: hopefully, the plugin you’re using has action and filter hooks available to you, as I envision some custom coding will need to be done to implement this functionality.)

    Hi @karenelated ??

It sounds like this issue is directly related to the Datafeedr WooCommerce Importer plugin.

So in this case, I would like to recommend you to contact their support team because they are better equipped to help you out. Here is the link to their support forum:

    https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/datafeedr-woocommerce-importer/

Please note that Datafeedr is a third-party plugin that is not developed or supported by us, and we do not maintain compatibility between WooCommerce and Datafeedr either.

Since this support forum is for questions and issues around the core WooCommerce plugin itself, and compatibility issues with third-party plugins are outside of the scope of support we are able to provide – I’ll be marking this thread as “resolved”.

Have a great day ahead! ??
