    Hello Cookiebot WordPress community.

We have built our website with Elementor Pro, and are in the process of enabling a cookie banner to our site. We really like Cookiebot’s approach to cookie management, and would love to get it to work.

The issue we are facing is that when we enable the Cookiebot banner set to Automatic Cookie-Blocking, the website faces some weird animations on load. This is noticeable on the header menu (top right) when switching between pages, and also on some of the pages’ hero sections (karriere/career for instance, where the image seems to slide in from the left).

I have done some debugging, and the issue persists until you make a selection in the cookiebot banner, as long as that selection is either “accept all” or if you manually go in and select all the categories manually. Denying cookies or selecting only “statistics” for instance has the animation issue persist even after the banner is gone.

I have also tested this in multiple browsers, and have seen it happen in Chrome, Edge and Safari. The issue didn’t seem to exist in Firefox. Additionally I have tried to create a CSS class named .notransitions that disables all transitions and add that class to both the cookiebot banner and the elementor header with no results.

Hoping someone else has faced similar issues or have the know-how to identify/realize what our issue is and hopefully also provide a solution to our issues so we can start using Cookiebot without it weirding out our website.

Just to reiterate: our website should have no animations on page transitions/page loads (apart from the hero section video backgrounds). Menu items, images etc. should all be static and stay in place.

Here is our debug info from our Cookiebot plugin:

    Hi,

From what I can see on your website, there are Elementor scripts being blocked and that because set cookies. So, in order for the scripts to load the visitor needs to accept those cookies. I have checked and I could not see any weird animations.
Would be great if you could send us some screenshots and also create a ticket directly with us on our helpdesk – https://support.cookiebot.com/hc/en-us
Please send us all the information that you wrote here.

    Best regards,
    Filipe
