    Hey!

Is it possible for customers who have an active subscription with a valid mandate for SEPA to let them change their bank and create a new mandate for the new IBAN linked to the existing subscription?

Also we have 0 euro subscriptions (where a coupon paid for the subscription period) which expire after a set of deliveries. They won’t have to create a mandate, since all of their orders are 0 euro’s. Is it possible for those subscriptions/customers to create a mandate from the account page to link a IBAN so they can upgrade to a payed or more expensive subscription?

    Hi @bits2c,

Currently, when you create a subscription with no initial fee, then no mandate can be created for that subscription. The customer could perform a manual (early) renewal with any gateway of their choice, but this will not create a new mandate.

We are currently investigating the possibility to add several new subscription-related features, such as a mandate creation for “free” orders and the ability to change the payment method later on.
I can’t provide too many specifics but I hope to receive a status update regarding these features later this week.

    Kind regards,
    Niklas

    Hey Niklas,

Great to hear that you guys are investigating the possibilities regarding the SEPA mandate flow.

    Looking forward to an update!

    Best,
    Jaimy

We have a lot of customers asking how to change their payment gateway for their active subscription.
It is really disappointing that this feature is still not available with mollie since most other payment providers support it.

    Hi there,

This feature is slowly moving forward on our agenda.
There will be a major plugin update coming within the next 2-3 months and we are looking to add this functionality either alongside it or soon after.

But for now, there is not much else I can say beyond that it will likely happen at some point. So I will close this thread for now but feel free to reach out for any questions or status updates.

    Kind regards,
    Niklas

    Hey Niklas,

Do you have any news regarding this feature? Would be great if this would be possible around Christmas, because we sell a lot of vouchers (0 euro subscriptions) that month and it would be great if they could payment details later so they can upgrade their subscription to a paid one.

    Thank you!
