    Hi,
Jetpack boost critical css seems to load scripts that i have in the widgets sitebar, at the bottom of the page instead.
My page lay-out is thus messed up big time.
Do you have a solution for this?

    BR

  • Hello there,

    I am glad to help!

    Regarding your request:

    > Jetpack boost critical CSS seems to load scripts that I have in the widgets sidebar, at the bottom of the page instead.

Could you deactivate the option ‘Critical CSS’ on Jetpack Boost and see if the issue persists, please?

Let me know if you have any questions.

    My best regards,

    Michelle C.

    Thank you Michelle,
Deactivating Critical CSS did not help, the issue persists,
but deactivating Defer Non-Essential Javascript , did let disappear the issue.

    Hi BR

That is how ‘defer non-essential JS’ works, it moves some tasks to after the page loads, so that important visual information can be seen sooner.

That may cause issues for certain scripts, so in that case, I’d suggest keeping ‘defer non-essential JS’ disabled.

    Thank you Dan,

I do have this disabled now.
Just hoped it was possible to add some kind of attribute to the script, so it would not been processed by defer non-essential JS.

That’s not possible at the moment, but we do have it on our radar. You can follow along here for any updates:

    Thanks!

Just wanted to throw my hat in as needing this feature as well. Even if it’s as simple as adding a tag to the script in question so Boost ignores it.

    Thank you!
