Homepage URL automatically redirects creating a self-feeding death loop
-
On my blog I started adding additional pages along the lines of “HOME, ABOUT, ARCHIVE, etc”. I had a setting that automatically showed the most recent blog posts on the homepage WITHOUT redirecting my domain name URL.
Suddenly, after adding a page name, the URL redirected. After typing the homepage https://www.stopreproducing.com it redirected to https://www.stopreproducing.com/condoms. Somehow this resulted in a self-feeding loop. I don’t want this redirect to begin with.
Now I get the error:
The page isn’t redirecting properly
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.
* This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept
cookies.I don’t know if there is something in my theme html codex to fix this? Or is there something on my host page? What would cause my main url to start redirecting to sub-pages automatically??
THANKS!
