    Hi

my site is using several frontend forms, based on Elementor built page + ACF Front end.

Since ACF FE 3.0.5, I observed my existing frontend Elementor-based forms are kind of “pre-filled out” with some data coming from the form itself & having also some categories picker not behaving normally anymore, making the whole thing unusable.

I tried to create a new ACF group made of Post Title + Content, created a new page with only an Elementor ACF frontend form object in it + added the new group:
    1) Post title field is filled out with the page name
    2) Post content field is filled out with the form HTML itself

    See capture:

    This is a real issue.

Does anyone else had the issue and managed to solve it ?
Does ACF Frontend team can help ?

    Thanks

    Hi again

    additional information:

trying to fill-out the (incorrect) form leads to a very abnormal situation, which may be interesting for diagnostic : fields are kind of affected to the Elementor items on which the page is built.

I observed this to apply to :
    * ACF Field Post/Title (coming from ACF Frontend)
    * Article/Featured Image

For sure it applies to other items.

And when a user is submitting a new post from front end, it actually creates a new revision of the baseline page !

    Hi

    closed topic.

Issue was coming from moving from ACF 2.x to 3.x and that migration was actually changing setting of post-based forms to Post Edit instead of Post New.

Stupid to correct, but clearly a big issue at migration stage without user manual nor warning on things to check when moving from 2.x to 3.x

    Matt

    Great tip!

    Fixed the issue for me.
