Share this not displaying

@simonhopi Hey! Sorry your buttons randomly stopped appearing. For some reason the sharethis.js is not loading on your site at the moment. This could be due to a conflict with another plugin or your theme code. A few questions:

Are you on the latest version of the plugin 1.5.2?

Have you tried deactivating/reactivating and re-logging in?

In the past few days have you installed any new plugins or themes?

Let me know all of that and we’ll try to get your buttons back. If all else fails I’ll personally jump into your admin and make sure these are working. Thanks!

Yes I have the latest version of the plug-in.

No in the latest days I haven’t installed any new plugin or theme.

I tried to deactive and deactive the plug-in but I can’t login into my Shate This account because I don’t Remember the password and there are no links to recover or regenerate it. What can I do?

an update…
After reactivating the plugin I was able to log into my panel, but despite this nothing has changed. Share buttons still don’t appear on posts. I kindly await your intervention.

I’m having the same problem with my website. Saturday, I deactivated the plugin and when I reactivated it, the Sharethis buttons return to work normally.

However, a few hours later they backed to being invisible, because if one clicked on the white space where they were, there were options for sharing.

Today, I just did the same thing of deactive and reative the plugin, and for now it’s back to work well. Let’s see. The shortcut link to my site:

I have the plugins WP Fastest Cache (updated 1 week ago) and Asset CleanUp: Page Speed Booster (updated 2 days ago). Maybe when these plugins do the work of compress some conflict occurs. If that happens, maybe in the next few hours the Sharethis buttons will disappear again.

@zaririnatma Thanks for jumping in on the thread. In your case “html cache” does affect the share buttons as they need remain dynamic in order to properly track and display your share counts. Also there is a tiny lag between configuration changes or enabling/disabling so it’s possible your caching plugin has caused some display issue.

@simonhopi I DO see the sharethis.js is now properly loading on your site. It I do not see any placement code though on your homepage so if you do have the auto placement enabled in the configuration and/or are using the shortcode/block to display the buttons then there might be a conflict with “the_content” filter that is used to display the buttons in your content.

So I’m seeing the same thing – my share buttons loaded this morning, but don’t seem to now. What @zaririnatma is describing is happening to me as well – the share buttons have the class .st-hidden on them which gives them opacity: 0; Looking in the console I can see a 400 error being thrown in this URL:

But it happens on all articles on the site. Is this an error on your end? Not sure what changed or if there’s something you would recommend .

@zaririnatma You should see buttons again as well please verify for me.

@simonhopi I still don’t see buttons on your site but that’s most likely due to you not having any placement settings in place. Can you test enabling the inline buttons on your posts or pages and let me know if they’re showing?

the inline buttons are enabled on both posts and pages and they were enabled before. But sometimes they appear and sometimes they don’t. So I don’t understand what’s the problem…
