• Hi Anders,

have you thought about using CSS-Variables for colors in your theme? That would make apply a different color theme as easy as drink my coffee.

you have several times very similar colors used in places like borders (#eee, #ddd, #ccc). Maybe you could wrap up this to a scheme like:
    5 background-colors,
    2 border-colors,
    3-5 text-colors (#aaa & #888 both applied only three times),
    1 accent-color, 1 accent- (or heiglight-)background-color
    1 selection-text-color, 1 selection-background-color

Did I explain? What do you think about this?

    Hi @jonny-s,

If I were to to build Lovecraft today, I definitely would use CSS variables, but I don’t have any plans to update it with CSS variables today. Partly because it would mean that it would lose Internet Explorer 11 support, which it has had since the start, but mostly because my older themes (Lovecraft was released in 2015) are only updated to remain compatible with new versions of WordPress.
