I’d like to send a notification to a buyer when an order is submitted. What is the “wildcard” or code used to include the buyer in the email notification?

  • Hello,

By default, WooCommerce sends notification emails to your customers. If your store doesn’t, please check if the email notifications are enabled under WooCommerce > Settings > Emails.

If your site doesn’t send emails properly, check out our FAQs here: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/email-faq/

It looks as though the “Customer invoice / Order details” is set to be sent manually. Can this be set to be sent upon a new order/invoice?

Or can the “New Order” email be also sent to the buyer as I asked earlier?

    Hi @mikepetersonwi,

As @maykato had mentioned, the customer should automatically receive an email when they place a new order.
You can resend them a Customer invoice/Order details email manually through the Edit Order screen but the customer will ideally have received these details in the initial email.

Just to check, could you try placing an order on your site **using a non-admin email address** to test if no emails are received on the customer’s side?

If you do not receive an email as the customer, kindly follow this troubleshooting guide to try to find the cause and resolve the issue – https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/email-faq/

Let us know how it goes.
    Thanks.

This is how my email screen is set up. The top three are being sent as they should be, the others are turned off. The email that I think you are referring to is set to “manually sent”screen shot

    Is this set up correctly?
